The upcoming harvest brings with it the excitement of any new vintage, but also some concerns related to the challenges that the weather has given us. This year, however, the grape harvest will be accompanied by a mixture of challenges and expectations, the result of the capricious weather that has characterized the season: heavy spring rains followed by a scorching summer have in fact created a complex mix that has affected plant growth and grape ripening.
This combination could lead to an earlier harvest start than in past years.
In addition, forecasts in the Veneto region indicate a slight decrease in quantities compared to last year. Clusters are less abundant, but their quality gives us hope. The lower yield, in fact, often results in a concentration of aromas and flavors, characteristics that we try to enhance in every bottle of Prosecco Ager Patris.
Even in a complex vintage like this one, our goal remains unchanged: to produce a Prosecco that can tell the story of the territory and the passion we put into our work. While the quantity will be lower, we are confident that the quality of the 2024 wines will live up to expectations, with a fresh, fruity and well-balanced flavor profile.
Cheers to a harvest that is different, but just as special!
